Mudguard(ie fender)threw me for a moment, but it does invovolve removing the sissy, bar rear fender chrome side pieces, the pillion cushion and seat. Might even require the rear tire to be out of the way to reach some of the fasteners. I can not find a picture in the factoruy manual, but the Clymer version might have it. Happy wrenching.
